A responsibly bred Maine Coon is expensive to produce: imported breeding cats, genetic and heart testing, quality nutrition, vet care for mother and kittens, registration fees, and months of around-the-clock socialisation before a kitten is ready for a new home. Much cheaper "purebred" kittens usually mean one of those corners was cut — most often health testing, which is the one you can't see in a photo but pay for later.
Maine Coon scams are common online. A registered, health-tested Maine Coon kitten offered for a few hundred dollars is almost always a scam or a mill. We encourage every buyer — ours or anyone's — to insist on a video call, registration papers, and ideally an in-person visit. We welcome all three.
Once you've chosen a kitten, a deposit holds them for you — they're then marked Reserved and no longer offered to other families. The remaining balance is due when you pick your kitten up in Sacramento (or before delivery, if arranged).
Ask us anything — we'd rather over-explain than have you guessing.
