Most Maine Coons have gold or green eyes. A blue-eyed Maine Coon is a rarity — and we're proud to have blue-eyed cats in our breeding program.
In Maine Coons, blue eyes are genuinely uncommon — the breed's typical eye colors run from gold and copper to green. Blue eyes generally appear alongside white or white-spotted coats, where the same genetics that paint the coat can also give one or both eyes a clear, glacier-blue color (odd-eyed cats, with one blue and one gold eye, are a striking variation of the same trait).
A blue-eyed Maine Coon has the same magnificent size, coat, and gentle-giant personality as any other — the eyes are simply an unforgettable finishing touch. Because so few catteries work with these lines, blue-eyed kittens rarely stay available for long.
